We wax, for example, back, chest, arms, legs, underarms, nose, ears and face, all in a separate room screened from view. Prices and areas: Waxing for men.

What does waxing for men cost?

Does waxing hurt, especially on the chest and back?

A little. Waxing is more noticeable than shaving because the hair is removed together with the root. We work with skin-friendly cold wax, depending on the treatment also with hot wax, and our trained beauticians know what matters. How other men got on with their first waxing is in our waxing guide. You will find the prices under Waxing for men.

How long does waxing last on a man?

As a rule at least several weeks. With waxing the hair is removed at the root and not just cut off as with shaving, and with regular waxing the hairs can also become finer and less noticeable. How quickly they grow back is individual. For the next waxing they need 0.5 to 1 cm of length again. More under Waxing for men.

How do I prepare for waxing?

Before the appointment the hair needs to be 0.5 to 1 cm long again, so don’t shave in between. At the appointment we remove the hair together with the root, with skin-friendly cold wax, depending on the treatment also with hot wax. How other men got on with their first waxing is in the waxing guide. You will find prices and areas under Waxing.

What does back waxing for men cost, and how does it work?

Waxing in Munich: how exactly does it work?

Waxing is on everyone’s lips. But where does the word actually come from? The term “waxing” derives from the English “wax” – and “wax” means wax. Now and then the German term “Wachsen” is also used – but in Munich too the English term waxing has become established.

In principle waxing therefore means nothing other than applying wax to the skin and using it to remove the hair underneath. Waxing is a long-lasting solution: similar to epilating, the hair is not simply cut off but pulled out completely at the root. That is more painful than shaving wet or dry – but the hair removal lasts considerably longer, as a rule at least for several weeks. In addition, with regular waxing the hair becomes finer and therefore less noticeable. In the end often only fine little hairs remain, which can be removed very easily with the gentle waxing method.

A further advantage of waxing is exfoliation: this means that waxing also removes dead skin flakes, so the skin becomes much clearer – and that simply looks good.

Waxing for men: which wax is best?

Waxing can be done either with hot wax or, as with us at “Die Männer Werkstatt” in Munich, with a particularly skin-friendly “cold wax”. Our “cold wax” has the great advantage, especially on the face, that we can completely rule out the risk of burns that comes with hot wax. Thanks to the ready-made wax strips with “cold wax”, the treatment is also somewhat quicker than with hot wax. To guarantee you the best possible result, we of course also work – depending on the treatment – with hot wax.

Men’s waxing: how long should the hair be?

In principle the hair should be between 0.5 and 1 cm long for waxing, or at least 5 millimetres long. Before a waxing treatment such as at “Die Männer Werkstatt” in Munich, it is best not to shave your hair on the face, nose and ears or eyebrows for at least two weeks.

Waxing for men: what should I watch out for after the treatment?

Hair removal by waxing at “Die Männer Werkstatt” at Wilhelmstraße in Munich, for example, is quick and largely painless. Our professional beauticians know exactly what to look out for when removing annoying hair on the face as well as on the nose and ears or the eyebrows.

However, as after any waxing treatment, there are a few things you should bear in mind. In principle the skin can be slightly irritated by waxing – this irritation or redness is usually gone again after a few days.

Any questions?

We have the answers: our highly trained team of beauticians is happy to advise you on everything about our treatments. Just message us on WhatsApp or give us a call.

Straight to the solarium after waxing? Rather not a good idea.

Regardless of that, you should avoid going to a solarium straight after the waxing treatment or in the days afterwards if possible. It would irritate the skin unnecessarily. That also applies if there is no visible or noticeable skin irritation – it can still be there and be intensified by an additional stress factor such as the intense heat of a solarium.

You should likewise avoid applying an overly harsh deodorant to the treated areas after waxing. That too can irritate the then somewhat more sensitive skin additionally and unnecessarily.

And last but not least, there is a special rule for men after waxing: since men like to sweat a bit more during sport, they should also avoid it in the days after the treatment if possible, or at least tone it down a little.

Incidentally, the principle of personal responsibility also applies to waxing for men in Munich – after all, you generally know best what is good for your skin and what strain it can take after waxing. Conversely, if there is irritation or discomfort you shouldn’t be too proud to see a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Waxing: what men need to pay particular attention to

You may have always suspected it, now you know: men’s skin is different from women’s skin. It is not only about a fifth thicker than women’s skin; owing to somewhat more active and generally somewhat more sebaceous glands, men’s skin is also slightly oilier than that of their female counterparts.

None of this is a problem, if it weren’t for so-called folliculitis. The trigger for this inflammation of the hair follicle is bacteria that have entered the hair canal via the skin surface. This can lead to an inflammation that can hurt and fester.

In principle this too is no big problem and can be treated well with antiseptic lotions. In rare cases, however, an abscess can develop from it – and then you should see the dermatologist you trust without delay.

What does waxing for men cost?

The prices for waxing in Munich naturally depend heavily on the respective treatment and its duration. At “Die Männer Werkstatt” we work with a skin-friendly “cold wax” in a maximally effective and efficient way. For this reason too we can offer waxing from as little as €18.
