In a men’s pedicure your feet first go into a bath, then the nails are trimmed and filed and hard skin and dead cuticle skin are removed. Finally there is foot balm, and depending on the package, exfoliation and massage beforehand. This is cosmetic foot care, not frippery. Embarrassing least of all. Here you can read what happens step by step, what distinguishes the four packages and how often you should come for a service.
Should men get a pedicure?
Yes. Hardly any part of your body is used as much every day as your feet, whether in work boots, trainers, running shoes or dress shoes. They are among your most important tools, and tools need servicing. A Pedicure for men in Munich is exactly that: a service appointment for the feet, so that they look well cared for again.
Embarrassing? Not in a studio just for men. A world champion sometimes sits in the pedicure chair here too. Lothar Matthäus has himself looked after at the Werkstatt and even has his own packages with the World Champion Edition, in which manicure and pedicure carry names like “Freistoß” or “Verlängerung”. And if the first visit still takes some nerve, read our guide beforehand Going to the beautician as a man.
What is done in a pedicure? Step by step
- Cleansing bath: First your feet go into a foot bath. It cleanses so that the treatment runs cleanly, and it relaxes.
- Quick check: Your beautician looks at your feet and asks how you want your nails, for example filed straight or round.
- Trimming & filing: The toenails are cut and filed into shape.
- Cuticle and hard skin removal: Hard skin and dead cuticle skin are removed.
- Massage: A foot massage, depending on the package also for the lower legs.
- Foot balm: Finally the feet are moisturised.
“Die Schnelle Nummer” consists only of the cleansing bath plus trimming and filing (steps 1 and 3), nothing more. From “Der Klassiker” on, cuticle and hard skin removal, massage and foot balm are added. From “Das Monument” on, an exfoliation and a wellness foot bath are added. “Die Werkstatt” also includes an extra massage for foot and lower leg and an eye mask.

Pedicure or foot care: what is the difference?
In everyday use both words mean the same, because a pedicure is cosmetic foot care. It includes everything to do with caring for and cleansing the feet, that is cutting and filing nails, removing hard skin and cuticles, bath, massage and cream. That is exactly what we do at the Werkstatt.
Medical foot care, also called podiatry, is something different. It deals with foot complaints. If you have pain or problems that go beyond care, you’re in the right place with a podiatrist.

The four pedicure packages compared
Our foot care for men in Munich comes in four gears, from quick and inexpensive to “that’s as far as it goes”:
| Package | What’s included | Duration | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Die Schnelle Nummer” | Foot bath, trimming & filing | 20 min. | 35 € |
| “Der Klassiker” | Cleansing bath, trimming & filing, cuticle and hard skin removal, foot massage, foot balm | 40 min. | 59 € |
| “Das Monument” | plus exfoliation, wellness foot bath, massage for foot and lower leg | 50 min. | 85 € |
| “Die Werkstatt” | plus extra massage for foot and lower leg, eye mask | 70 min. | 109 € |
You can add extras such as a paraffin bath (€25, 15 min.), an exfoliation (€10.50, 10 min.), a lower-leg massage (€16.50, 10 min.) or polishing (€6.50, 5 min.).
Werkstatt tip: First time here? Take the “Klassiker”. It has everything well-kept feet need, including hard skin and massage. “Die Schnelle Nummer” is more of a stopover when only the nails need touching up.
Does it hurt?
No. A pedicure should feel good, not like the dentist. In reviews, clients write, for example, that the treatment was “without pain”. Still, every foot is different. If you are sensitive at the cuticle or the hard skin, say so beforehand or in between, and your beautician adjusts the approach. You don’t have to be brave.
How often should you have a pedicure?
That depends on how fast your nails grow and the hard skin comes back. A look at our regulars helps: in their reviews, clients name their rhythm, for example “every 3 weeks”, “every 4–6 weeks” or “monthly”. Which interval suits you is something you discuss with your beautician.
You don’t need to do much between two appointments. What makes sense, your beautician will tell you during the appointment, and it is exactly these “helpful tips for the time between appointments” that clients praise in their reviews.
Hands too: manicure and pedicure as a combo
If you’re already sitting in the chair, the hands can come along. When booking online, you choose each treatment individually and combine them as you like. The calendar then shows you the free appointments automatically. Ready-made, there are our Combos for manicure and pedicure, with which you get both done in one appointment:
- Combo: Manicure & pedicure “Der Klassiker”: 80 min., €108
- Combo: Manicure & pedicure “Das Monument”: 100 min., €160

Or you play like a world champion. The “Freistoß” from the Lothar Matthäus World Champion Edition combines manicure and pedicure “Klassiker” with “Goldeneyes” collagen eye pads, 80 minutes for €118.

Frequently asked questions about pedicure for men
How do men best care for their toenails?
Cut them straight and not too short, easiest after a shower when the nails are softer, and file sharp edges. Dry your feet well, also between the toes, and moisturise them regularly. It’s better to leave hard skin and cuticles to the pedicure, for example the “Klassiker” for €59 (40 min.). For complaints, podiatry is the right address.
Do I have to prepare my feet before the pedicure?
No. Every pedicure at the Werkstatt begins with a cleansing bath, which is part of the package. So you don’t need to scrub, file or work on hard skin yourself beforehand. Just come as you are. If you have sensitive spots or want your nails cut in a particular way, tell your beautician at the start.
Can I book manicure and pedicure in one appointment?
Yes. When booking online you can simply select manicure and pedicure individually and combine them, entirely as you wish. The calendar then shows you the free appointments automatically. Ready-made, there is the combo Manicure & pedicure “Der Klassiker”, which takes 80 minutes and costs €108, “Das Monument” 100 minutes for €160, “Die Werkstatt” 130 minutes for €208. The “Freistoß” from the World Champion Edition adds collagen eye pads to the Klassiker (80 minutes, €118).
Can I give a pedicure as a gift?
Yes. In the Männer Werkstatt voucher shop there are vouchers for pedicure, manicure and combos, for example the “Freistoß” from the World Champion Edition. You can also give a value voucher, in which case the recipient chooses his own package. For many men, such a voucher is the nudge to try it for the first time.
