In microneedling, a device works your facial skin with very fine needles. The punctures are tiny and shallow. The skin is stimulated on purpose, starts to regenerate and gets more blood flow. Afterwards we care for it thoroughly so it can settle. We work cosmetically: we do not diagnose and we do not treat illnesses. For medical questions, your dermatologist is the right person to ask.
If you shave regularly, you ask a lot of your skin. Add sun, wind, stress and sometimes too little sleep. The men who come to us want to get their skin under control: fine lines around the eyes and above the upper lip, a coarse skin texture, skin that looks tired. These are goals, not promises. In the consultation we look at your skin and tell you honestly which of the four treatments suits you, and whether a course makes more sense than a single appointment. Beard and shaving? Tell us beforehand how you shave and where your beard grows. We adapt the treatment to that.
You lie back, we work. Depending on the treatment, your appointment takes 50 to 80 minutes. Water or coffee is waiting at Die Männer Werkstatt before or afterwards.
Right after the treatment, skin often looks fresher and plumper. How much depends on your skin, and we do not give guarantees. A single appointment is a good start. If you want to change your skin visibly, plan a course, because microneedling is meant to be used as a course. That is why we offer the 6-session course "Forever Young". How many appointments make sense for you, we work out together.
Expect your skin to be red and to feel tight after the appointment. That is normal. Keep your skincare mild and protect your skin from the sun. And skip peeling, sauna and heavy sweating on the first day. At home, do not try anything new that your skin does not know. You get detailed advice in the studio. If something does not feel right, contact us or your dermatologist.

Both studios offer all four microneedling treatments.
With us, microneedling starts at €190 for 50 minutes. The combination with microdermabrasion costs €249, the combination with the AQAFACIAL™ booster €269, the 6-session course €1,026. Both studios charge the same prices.
Between 50 and 80 minutes, depending on the treatment: 50 minutes for microneedling alone, 60 minutes for "Performance", 80 minutes for "Die Werkstatt". The duration is also shown for every treatment in the booking system.
It differs from man to man. Many describe pressure and tingling, a bit more on sensitive spots. Just tell us if it gets too much, and we adjust.
A single appointment is a good start. Microneedling is meant to be used as a course though, which is why we offer the 6-session course "Forever Young". How many appointments and what interval make sense for you, we clarify in the consultation.
Right afterwards the skin is usually red and feels tight. That is normal. How long it lasts depends on your skin. Better not schedule the appointment right before an important event.
Talk to us beforehand if you have inflamed skin, open spots, herpes, fresh sunburn or a skin condition or take blood thinners. Then we decide together whether and when we treat. For medical questions, see a dermatologist first.
"Microneedling - Face Technology" is the basic version. "Die Werkstatt" combines microneedling with microdermabrasion in one appointment. "Performance" combines microneedling with the AQAFACIAL™ booster. "Forever Young" is the 6-session course for anyone who wants to stay on it.
